Open Systems Announces Leadership Transition to Position Company for Long-Term Success

Open Systems AG, Zurich

Zurich, Switzerland - 30. September 2025 - Open Systems, a leading provider of Managed SASE solutions for more than 35 years, announced a leadership transition as part of its continued growth and strategic evolution. Daniel Neuhaus, who has served as CEO since Jan 1, 2023, will be stepping down and transitioning leadership to Dennis Monner effective as of Oct 1, 2025.

Daniel Neuhaus joined Open Systems after the acquisition of his company, Sqooba. He first served as Chief Product Officer, then as Chief Technology Officer, before being appointed CEO in 2023. This continuity across multiple leadership roles was instrumental in driving Open Systems’ long-term transformation. Over the years, he oversaw strategic product expansion, unified technology innovation, the groundwork for scalable operations across regions and a renewed focus on delivering tailored, industry-specific customer experiences. His tenure set a strong foundation for innovation, agility, and customer-centric solutions.

Under his leadership, the company also achieved a major milestone with its acquisition by strategic investor Swiss Post in 2024. These efforts have solidified Open Systems as a trusted partner for organizations navigating complex challenges in cybersecurity and networking.

As the company enters its next phase of accelerated growth for long-term success, Open Systems is excited to welcome Dennis Monner, a seasoned go-to-market (GTM) leader and successful entrepreneur, as its new Chief Executive Officer. With a proven track record of founding, scaling, and successfully exiting high-growth companies within the SASE category, Dennis Monner brings deep expertise in market expansion, customer acquisition, and revenue execution. After selling his previous company to a strategic acquirer, he joined the new parent organization in a senior leadership role. In his different roles, he gained firsthand experience in managing complex, enterprise-wide operations across functions and geographies, from Europe to North America, equipping him with a broad operational lens and global perspective.

Dennis Monner’s appointment marks a strategic shift toward doubling down on commercial expansion, global GTM motions, and deeper customer engagement at scale. His focus will be on leveraging the strong product foundation to unlock new segments, partnerships, and monetization strategies, positioning Open Systems to capture the next wave of growth.

Daniel Neuhaus said: “Over the past years we laid the groundwork for global growth - expanding our product vision, scaling operations, and deepening our customer focus. None of this would have been possible without the dedication of our people. I’m especially proud that this work has been recognized externally, with Open Systems earning leadership recognition in its category and being named a Great Place to Work for 3 consecutive years. These proof points underscore what we’ve achieved together and I’m excited to see Dennis and the team take Open Systems to the next level.”

“Open Systems has a powerful platform and a reputation for solving complex industry challenges with best-in-class SASE services,” said Daniel Gerber, Chairman of the BoD. “With the strategic backing of Swiss Post and the continuity provided by Daniel Neuhaus’ leadership, we are well positioned for our next chapter. I am confident that Dennis’ entrepreneurial drive and go-to-market expertise will accelerate growth and, by harnessing AI, further transform Open Systems to expand its global impact.”

“Open Systems has built an exceptional foundation, combining strong technology with a clear customer focus” said Dennis Monner. “The opportunity ahead is massive. I’m thrilled to join the team at a time when we can bring our solutions to even more customers, accelerate our market impact, and drive the next era of innovation and growth.”

Open Systems thanks Daniel Neuhaus’ for his leadership and contributions and looks forward to continued momentum under Dennis Monner’s guidance.

About Open Systems:

Open Systems is an AI-first SASE platform company delivering secure access and networking to help enterprises connect users, applications and infrastructure across complex hybrid and multi-cloud environments. Its proprietary platform combines SSE capabilities, including ZTNA, SWG, CASB and FWaaS, with SD-WAN, end-to-end connectivity, unified policy management, and advanced analytics in a single architecture.

While many cybersecurity providers focus primarily on advancing technology capabilities, Open Systems combines its AI-first SASE platform with an execution model designed for real-world operability, ensuring services are not only deployed, but continuously run, adapted and improved through a combination of AI-enabled operations and NOC-based expertise (Mission Control), built on decades of operational experience, helping organizations reduce complexity, increase visibility and strengthen security outcomes at global scale.

Founded in Switzerland in 1990, Open Systems generates more than USD 100 million in annual revenue and supports global enterprise customers operating in more than 180 countries. Since 2024, the company has been part of Swiss Post, combining Swiss trust and stability with global reach. As a European alternative to US- and Israel-based cybersecurity providers, Open Systems is guided by strong principles around sovereignty requirements, regulatory alignment, transparency and shared responsibility - taking clear ownership for security, performance and operational outcomes, helping organizations maintain control in an increasingly complex digital landscape.
