Open Systems Wins Microsoft Security Excellence Award for Security MSSP of the Year
Receiving the Security MSSP of the Year award at the Microsoft Security Excellence Awards 2022 was the best way to kick off this year’s RSA conference in San Francisco. All of us at Open Systems were honored and humbled by this win and appreciate the recognition by Microsoft.
Winning this prestigious award is especially gratifying because it was Microsoft employees who selected Open Systems as the winner. Cybersecurity is a team sport, and we’ve worked closely with Microsoft employees since joining the Microsoft Intelligent Security Association (MISA) in 2020.
In celebrating this recognition, we have to thank Microsoft’s Maria Thomson, Phil Montgomery and Vasu Jakkal for making the evening’s presentation so memorable.
Together with Microsoft, we’ve teamed up to ensure our joint security customers improve their security postures and protect their organizations against the unprecedented threat environment brought on by the pandemic.
Open Systems MDR+ with Mission Control is the only managed detection and response service that goes beyond detection and response to actively mitigate attacks – to protect Microsoft customers today and increasing their security maturity for tomorrow. With the Microsoft 365 E5 Security stack as its foundation, Microsoft Sentinel as its SIEM and Microsoft Defender for Endpoint as its end point sensor, MDR+ leverages a rich understanding of customers’ environments and unlocks the value of customers’ existing Microsoft security investments.
A particularly notable success was with Chemours, a leader in the global chemicals industry. Open Systems’ Microsoft expertise, integrations, and machine learning models now provide Chemours with better context on the attack surface, integration into Microsoft tools for simpler coordination with IT, and secure configuration of critical Microsoft infrastructure.
Microsoft and Open Systems make a strong team, and everyone here is proud of our collaborative approach. We look forward to participating in many more MISA Security Forums and collaborating with the Microsoft team even more closely to continue delivering for our joint customers in the future.
