Open Systems Achieves Microsoft Cloud Security Advanced Specialization Certification

Open Systems recently achieved the Microsoft Cloud Security Advanced Specialization certification, making us one of 50 partners out of thousands with this designation. This certification – as well as our prior Microsoft Threat Protection Advanced Specialization certification – is a significant achievement that allows Open Systems to cement our place as a member of Microsoft’s managed security service provider (MSSP) program.
Proven Solutions
The Cloud Security Advanced Specialization certification showcases Open Systems’ technical capabilities and proven experience implementing comprehensive security protection across customers’ Microsoft Azure, hybrid, and multi-cloud environments.
The Microsoft specialization certification program is designed to help companies like Open Systems differentiate ourselves, demonstrate our expertise, and build stronger connections with customers. It allows those customers to have confidence in selecting the Microsoft partners best suited to complete their digital transformations.
"This certification is another strong signal to our current customers and those looking at Open Systems that we have impactful Microsoft solutions. We have proven we have the expertise to create valuable solutions in cloud security and threat protection."Ric Longenecker, Open Systems CISO
Microsoft 365 E5 Security is the foundation of our MDR+ service, and we know how to realize its full potential better than anyone. Built on the Microsoft 365 E5 Security stack, Open Systems MDR+ unlocks the value of your existing investments. There’s no need to buy another tool, since you’ve already invested in what you need for success. The more Microsoft security capabilities you turn on, the stronger your security posture.
Strong Signal
Deploying, configuring, managing, and tuning your Microsoft tools—and correlating all the signals to identify threats and risk—take specialized resources. Our deep Microsoft expertise alleviates this burden for you. And you can be confident that your tools will map to the realities of your organization’s environment.
This certification is also an example of our deepening relationship with Microsoft. Other notable examples include:

- We recently standardized on Microsoft Defender for Endpoint as the EDR sensor for our Open Systems MDR+ service.
- We have won joint customer deals with Chemours, Kemet, CSN, Mikron, and others.
- We were a Security MSSP of the Year finalist in 2022 Microsoft Security Excellence Awards.
- Our success with a joint healthcare customer was featured in a keynote address at Microsoft Inspire 2020.
