Security Consultant
Open Systems conceives, develops and maintains security infrastructure in over 95 countries. Open Systems advises multinational companies in the areas of IT and network security.
You have a university degree that is comparable to an ETH degree. You speak and write both English and German – the knowledge of other foreign languages is an advantage.
As a Service Consultant you are responsible for the further development of the Mission Controltm service-palette, the scalability of operation and sales.

Security Engineer
Open Systems conceives, develops and maintains security infrastructure in over 95 countries on all continents and advises multinational acting companies in the IT and network security domain.
You have an ETH, university or FH degree in Computer Science or a related field. You can speak and write English and German - the knowledge of other foreign languages is an advantage. You have know-how in some of the following areas:
- Design and implementation of global WAN and hub network topologies
- Core technologies: firewalls, web application firewalls, VPN networks, intrusion detection and prevention systems, e-mail security, remote access
- Relevant Internet and intranet protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, IPSec, VRRP, HTTP, XML, SSL, SMTP, SSH, DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF, RIP, Radius etc.)
- Experience with Linux and/or Sun Solaris including all the related network applications, knowledge of script languages like Perl, Bourne-shell, etc.
- Communication with clients
- Team spirit, willingness to learn and ability to handle stress
In the context of the Mission Control Operation you will be in contact with international organizations and teams. You will work on various projects in the Web Development and/or Service Engineering areas and maintain the resulting software in productive environments.

Unix Service Engineer
Open Systems AG is specializing in IT security and provides managed security service to multi-national customers in over 95 countries, on all continents.
We are currently looking for an exceptional engineer to strengthen our services engineering team. In this capacity, you will drive the development and operation of highly scalable and globally deployed network security solutions. Specifically, you will work on product integration and customization as well as development of tools and management infrastructure. As part of the Mission Control team, you share operational duties with your colleagues.
This position will afford you with responsibility for small to mid-size projects, right from the concept phase and all the way to production deployment and beyond. You have an ETH, university or FH degree in Computer Science or a related field and are fluent in English and German (knowledge of additional languages a plus). We expect you to bring the following skills to the table:
- Intimate knowledge of the Unix and Linux operation systems, in other words you have internalized the "Unix way" of doing things.
- Deep understanding networking in general and the major Internet protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP, SSL, SMTP, SSH, DNS, BGP, OSPF).
- Knowledge of network security concepts and practices, experience with relevant tools and technologies (packet filters, VPN, proxies, authentication services etc.)
- Advanced Shell and Perl scripting.
- Basic know-how of web application development (HTML, CSS, CGI, Javascript). Experience with advanced topics (Java-based frameworks, OO development) a plus.
- Experience with SQL databases and development. (Oracle administration and PL/SQL knowledge a plus).
- Comfortable to work in small teams and individually

Java/Web Engineer
Open Systems AG is specializing in IT security and provides managed security services to multi-national customers in over 95 countries, on all continents.
We are currently looking for a highly-motivated engineer to strengthen our Java/Web application development team. In this capacity, you will be designing and implementing extensions to the Mission Control Web Portal in order to improve the managability of security infrastructure. You will be working closely together with Service Engineers to implement configuration and status visualizations for Unix production systems. As part of the Mission Control team, you share operational duties with your colleagues.
This position will afford you with responsibility to carry out projects from the concept phase and all the way to production deployment and beyond.
